SugarClub Chat allows for live-updating, private, interactive discussions with other SugarClub members. Chat is an extension of the Private Messaging offering, available in the site banner. Chat messages are simply private messages sent back and forth in real-time with another member, giving you a traditional chat experience available in familiar applications. Find who&amp;#39;s online You can easily find friends in your chat box manually or by searching. Manually find your friend In your browser window, you&amp;#39;ll find your online friends list. It shows your online friends sorted by those with whom you most recently chatted at the top of the list. And online friends can be chatted with (if they&amp;#39;ve opted to allow receiving private messages). Click on the name of the friend with whom you&amp;#39;d like to chat. Find your friend If you don&amp;#39;t see your friends online in the online friends list, or if you just want to find them in a hurry, you can find them by entering their name in the Search box. Look at their presence indicator A green dot indicates your friend is online. A grey dot indicates they are offline. Receive a message When you receive a new chat, the chat window with the correspondent&amp;#39;s name will appear in the browser window. The window will remain available during and after your chat discussion until it is dismissed or until the conversation does not receive replies for a given amount of time. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this work caused significant issues to our Single Sign-On/Authentication/Login functionality, halting the ability for SugarClub members to log in (members who were already logged in were unaffected). Due to the severity of this issue and the length of the expected time to fix it, the decision was made to revert the site to a backup taken before this maintenance on 9 February. As this work was performed outside of standard business hours, data loss during the roll-back was minimal, however, any content (forum posts, comments, direct messages, etc.) created after the backup is currently unavailable. Our team is working on recovering as much of that content as possible, but the possibility of this is unknown at this point. Please subscribe to notifications on this post for any further updates. As I mentioned before, Explore group has received a major update! Let&amp;#39;s start with some background if you&amp;#39;re not familiar with this group. The Explore group is your hub to get all types of useful information about Sugar products - you&amp;#39;ll find everything you need at your fingertips. If you have questions about using Sugar, finding best practices about administering your platform, want to help your peers along their journey, want to stay up-to-date on new releases &amp;amp; updates, or share some suggestions for how to improve Sugar, visit the revamped Explore group. Explore is now organized so that you can get the information you need even faster. Now, when you visit Explore , you&amp;#39;ll find quick access to Help Forums , Product Updates , and Product Suggestions , instead of starting with which product you use. You&amp;#39;ll also see a wealth of information and useful resources right on the Explore home page, including quick and easy access to search previous&amp;#39; conversations or ask your question to the proper audience. Within the Help Forums , you can access all questions and discussions, or drill down into one of the four subgroups based on what is most relevant for you: Enterprise &amp;amp; Sell These two used to be separate groups and have been combined into one for ease of access to similar content for SugarClub members. As these integrate so tightly into Sugar, the questions and discussions often overlapped, so it made the most sense to have them all in one group. Sugar Market Sugar Serve SugarCloud Platform Find all of the resources you need as a SugarCloud customer (or SugarCloud Migration Resources if you want to take advantage of our hosting options!). The Product Updates group gives you access to find out details about new Sugar releases. The changes will be introduced incrementally, so your day-to-day experience may change a little between every visit. Much of this work will be focused on the Explore group and all of the &amp;quot;product-specific&amp;quot; help groups (e.g. Sugar Market , Sugar Sell , Sugar Serve , Enterprise &amp;amp; Sell ), but there will also be changes to other areas of SugarClub. There will be updates to: How you navigate specific groups and all of SugarClub You&amp;#39;ll see more of an emphasis on the action you want to take (ask a question or find an answer, read or receive updates, etc.) versus what specific product(s) you&amp;#39;re using How you search for and create posts (ask questions, start discussions, submit product suggestions) The overall look and feel We hope you&amp;#39;ll find these changes beneficial and will help to improve your SugarClub experience. During this time, you may notice: Removal &amp;amp; consolidation of some quieter groups Addition of a few new groups to ease navigation Moves and reorganization of some posts and buttons Existing posts will not be deleted/removed, but may be moved from one group to another (e.g. a forum post may move from the Sugar Mobile group to the Sugar Sell group). In the top-right of SugarClub or on the home page, click either orange &amp;quot;person&amp;quot; buttons if shown: If you&amp;#39;re logged in and still having access issues, you may be getting an error such as these &amp;quot;Access Denied&amp;quot; or &amp;quot;Validation Error&amp;quot; messages: If so, please proceed to the following steps: Re-sync user with the SugarCRM Customer Portal Navigate to https://sugarclub.sugarcrm.com/ and log out if you’re logged in Navigate to https://auth.sugarcrm.com/ and log out if you’re logged in Navigate back to https://sugarclub.sugarcrm.com/ and log in again You’re brought back to https://auth.sugarcrm.com/ and redirected back to SugarClub after authentication Try accessing the group to which you were previously denied access. If you are still having issues, please continue with the steps outlined below: Be a member of your organization&amp;#39;s SugarCRM Customer Portal account Locate another user at your organization who has access to manage your organization&amp;#39;s account on https://auth.sugarcrm.com (this access often starts with the person who was the primary point of contact during the sales process or a Sugar platform administrator) This administrator should: Log in to https://auth.sugarcrm.com Navigate to the Account Members menu Click Invite Member Add your email and follow all other instructions Optional: When sending an invitation, you have the option to include additional permissions. Complete the fields below:&amp;quot; with an option to &amp;quot;Join now,&amp;quot; or simply a blank page when trying to log in, please navigate to your SugarCRM Customer Portal ( https://auth.sugarcrm.com ) user account edit page ( https://auth.sugarcrm.com/user/profile ) and ensure your &amp;quot;SugarClub Username&amp;quot; field is populated (with a name consisting of 3 or more uppercase or lowercase English letters (A-Z, a-z) or digits from 0 to 9). Save your profile once this is populated and attempt to log in to SugarClub again. If you encounter further issues, please email sugarclub@sugarcrm.com for assistance. You should not encounter this screen so please do not attempt to proceed by clicking the &amp;quot;Join now&amp;quot; button. Account Not Approved If you encounter an error saying &amp;quot;Account Not Approved - You have not been approved to access this community,&amp;quot; this usually indicates that your SugarClub account was previously deactivated. This can be done either by your request, if you have left your company or organization, or possibly due to being in violation of the SugarClub Guidelines . In any event, please contact sugarclub@sugarcrm.com to request your user account be reactivated. What are the SugarCRM Customer Portal roles? When administering other users in your organization, you are given the option to grant additional access to the SugarCRM Customer Portal to fellow members, either when editing their records or when initially inviting the user to the portal. Additional roles are not required, but include the roles Account Administrator , Support Authorized Contact , and Download Manager Authorized Contact : These roles grant the following access: Account Administrator Access to https://store.sugarcrm.com/account Access to https://auth.sugarcrm.com/account/members Access to https://auth.sugarcrm.com/account/billing Support Authorized Contact Access to the Support Portal to create cases and access bugs (https://portal.sugarondemand.com).
