SugarClub Chat allows for live-updating, private, interactive discussions with other SugarClub members. Chat is an extension of the Private Messaging offering, available in the site banner. Chat messages are simply private messages sent back and forth in real-time with another member, giving you a traditional chat experience available in familiar applications. Find who's online You can easily find friends in your chat box manually or by searching. Manually find your friend In your browser window, you'll find your online friends list. It shows your online friends sorted by those with whom you most recently chatted at the top of the list. And online friends can be chatted with (if they've opted to allow receiving private messages). Click on the name of the friend with whom you'd like to chat. Find your friend If you don't see your friends online in the online friends list, or if you just want to find them in a hurry, you can find them by entering their name in the Search box. Look at their presence indicator A green dot indicates your friend is online. A grey dot indicates they are offline. Send them a message If your friend is online Click your friend's name name in the chat box to open a chat window. When you chat, the transcript of your chat is copied to your conversation list and grouped by chat. If your friend is offline If your friend is offline, a private message window will appear. You can type a subject and body to the message and click Send Message. The private message will appear in your conversation list and your friend's. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this work caused significant issues to our Single Sign-On/Authentication/Login functionality, halting the ability for SugarClub members to log in (members who were already logged in were unaffected). Due to the severity of this issue and the length of the expected time to fix it, the decision was made to revert the site to a backup taken before this maintenance on 9 February. As this work was performed outside of standard business hours, data loss during the roll-back was minimal, however, any content (forum posts, comments, direct messages, etc.) created after the backup is currently unavailable. Our team is working on recovering as much of that content as possible, but the possibility of this is unknown at this point. Please subscribe to notifications on this post for any further updates. A recent example of this is changing how SugarClub members can report forum posts, comments, replies, and more to our administration team, thanks to a suggestion from Missy Brooks , making it easier for you to keep SugarClub a positive experience for everyone. As I mentioned before, Explore group has received a major update! Let's start with some background if you're not familiar with this group. The Explore group is your hub to get all types of useful information about Sugar products - you'll find everything you need at your fingertips. If you have questions about using Sugar, finding best practices about administering your platform, want to help your peers along their journey, want to stay up-to-date on new releases & updates, or share some suggestions for how to improve Sugar, visit the revamped Explore group. Explore is now organized so that you can get the information you need even faster. Now, when you visit Explore , you'll find quick access to Help Forums , Product Updates , and Product Suggestions , instead of starting with which product you use. You'll also see a wealth of information and useful resources right on the Explore home page, including quick and easy access to search previous' conversations or ask your question to the proper audience.
