In Prior to Vamshi's question, It would be great if Sugar comes with default scheduler that runs every morning for updating calculated fields in all modules (Both Custom and Default modules). So we can eliminate this kind of confustion & issues for anyone. Hope this will be considered if possible in Next Quarter release.

this is also a use-case where Sugar Integrate might come in handy to update a subset of records on a time based cadence

Both John and Mauricio's responses are right on. I know you're not the only person who has run into this challenge - obviously everyone participating in this thread has too.

Perhaps we can have this addressed in the core application instead of all us writing scheduled tasks to do this? I have suggested it as an idea here: Scheduled Job which triggers recalculation of SugarLogic fields - please contribute your ideas and vote up!

May I suggest you do a scheduled task or a cron task, where you search the records based on a search criteria and simply update record by record.
The SugarLogic formulas as far as I know respond and are executed on the save event.
Some time ago I used a cron task to invoke an API that I developed to update the records, and in the API you forget to use Sugar Logic, if you want.

Calculated fields only update when a record is saved.

In the past, I have written a Scheduler Task that runs overnight to find all records that have crossed the criteria threshold and saved those records as needed. In this case, I would update all records that have just moved from this month to last month and then update all records that moved from last month to two months ago.
