In the refreshed Reports module results view, focus drawers are now enabled for rows and columns-type reports! Focus drawers are a great way to get more information about the record while staying in the context of your report.

In the refreshed Reports module results view, you can now see a visual representation of all your applied report filters! Simply open the Filters panel and click the Advanced Filters button.

The button opens a drawer that shows all your applied filters. Filters that are applied in the Report Wizard and that are not run-time filters are shown with a lock icon next to them. Run-time filters are shown with a box around them.

Did you know you can copy user dashboards and filters from one user to another? This feature was added when we allowed users to impersonate other users, and I think it's Sugar's best-kept secret! If you use the "Copy Content" from the three-dots menu of the Users module in the navigation bar, you can choose which user's content will be copied and to whom!

For Enterprise users, Sugar 13.0 is your first look at the exciting updates to the Reports module results view! You can now configure whether to show the data table, chart, and filter panels. This allows you to see the content you need to get your work done. You can also adjust the orientation or size of the table and chart panels to focus on what is most important.

Sugar Q1 2023 (12.3) introduces the ability to designate Dropdown fields as calculated fields in Admin > Studio! Just enable the Calculated Value checkbox for the field and enter your formula. It's as simple as that!

As a side note, be sure to double-check your formula to ensure that the dropdown value is a valid option in the dropdown list, as Sugar does not validate the results. So, if the dropdown list has values "A, B, C" and the formula results in a value of "1", then the field will appear blank.

As of the Q1 2023 release of Sugar, you can now resize the column widths in the Renewals and Service Console’s list views per your viewing preference! And it’s easy to do! Simply place your cursor on the column divider then click and drag the column to the desired size!

Beginning with Sugar 12.3, you no longer have to worry about discrepancies in time zones, as your user profile time zone in Sugar will automatically be updated to match the browser’s time zone!

As a side note, the Time Zone setting in your user profile will no longer be editable as it's read-only.

Mobile users - you may not be aware of this but there is actually a quick way to start editing a record in the mobile app. Instead of accessing the Edit option in the menu in the top right corner, just tap anywhere around the record title.

It's much faster and saves a tap, which adds up over time if you update a lot of records!

When administrators are configuring fields in Studio, they have access to the powerful Sugar Logic tool which uses simple formulas and logic checks to provide calculations for or to set the visibility of a field. When building these fields, scrolling through the list of functions may make not be the most efficient way to figure out which functions will work best together to achieve the desired result. This is where the Complete List of Sugar Logic Functions available in the Sugar Administration Guide can help! Being able to quickly see the details of 70+ functions in one table can speed up the process of building complex functions and give administrators a quick and easy-to-read overview.

Let's revisit a great tip from a couple of years ago -- Sugar's Sweet Spot search. Sugar's Sweet Spot allows you to search for just about anything in Sugar, from modules to records to module action menu items! You can even configure shortcut hotkeys to make routine searching even easier.

Use the shortcut shift+cmd+space for Mac or the shortcut shift+ctrl+space for Windows/Linux to open the Sweet Spot and start searching! And check out the Sweet Spot Search documentation for more information.

Thank you, Brenda Rossetto for sharing another helpful Quick Tip, Column Freezing Makes Viewing List Views Even Easier!

Are you the type of person that likes to have a lot of columns in list view so you can see many different data points at once? Sugar 12.0's new column freezing makes the horizontal scrolling experience much simpler - it lets you scroll to the side while still keeping the first column in view so you don't lose track of which record you are looking at.

It can be turned off in the three-dots menu for each list view, but it's definitely beneficial to keep it on to help you maintain your place in the list without scrolling back and forth!

Admins, are you managing a multilingual Sugar instance? If the answer is "yes", we've got a helpful new feature for you in Sugar 12.0. When editing dropdowns in Admin > Studio > Dropdown Editor, you can now see the labels in a comparison language to quickly identify labels that are not translated or not translated correctly. Labels that have the i icon are the same in both languages and may require translation.
