We do not currently use sugar automate. Most of our service request (we call them work orders) are either too simple or we have designed a BPM. I was wondering if anyone had a good example of the best use of a service request that is the perfect fit for Automate and why. I know I could build any of these in Automate but I am looking for something that fits better here than anywhere else, and why. If you have any related thoughts, opinions, or stories I would love to hear them as well! Thank you all for your replies. I am hoping for an answer, but also a good discussion. I would love for the banking group to get more active and help each other with ideas and answers! First step is to break down all the inputs - use something like https://www.bankrate.com/loans/personal-loans/how-to-calculate-loan-payments/ to point all the questions (fields) that your loan officer would capture from a user (or some might have been prepopulated from web form submissions) That same site also gives you the formula - which you can use SugarLogic with. This is likely to become relatively complex - so from a best practice pov, I'd often use hidden fields to capture the components of the formula. Two other learnings I had: End users (your customers' customer) are used to doing this on the web, e.g. https://www.commbank.com.au/digital/home-buying/calculator/home-loan-repayments - where they get instant answers and often pretty graphics to go with. Sugar doesn't do that. The above is all internal staff facing. Your customer (and indeed, lots of teams) use Excel to calculate this internally when on the phone etc - e.g. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/using-excel-formulas-to-figure-out-payments-and-savings-11cb708f-c137-4ef8-bcf3-5137aaeb4b20 - whatever you design within Sugar will be compared to this in terms of usability Hope this helps! For example, if your Sugar instance is birdzell.sugarondemand.com, you can visit https://birdzell.sugarondemand.com/#Tags . This will give you a List View of Tags, and my recommendation is to select checkboxes for the typos and the correct spelling, and then Merge the records - that will ensure that you both remove the typos and re-tag the records with the correct one. I would strongly recommend using the merge feature because I find it faster than going into a Tag, and manually retagging individual Accounts and Leads etc. If you don't retag (whether manually or using the Merge feature), then deleting the Tag means those Accounts/Opps/etc will lose the Tag altogether, and you may find it harder to find them. This is similar in principle to how you might manage removal of options from a dropdown - always ensure the records have a valid value before removing the dropdown value. Hope this helps! We use a Fiserv Premiere core, and are primarily using the CRM with existing customers, not as a sales/leads tool. This has been a big request from customers, partners, and employees alike, and we're happy to announce it is finally here. However, for user groups to be a success the most important thing we need is you, our users. You are what brings SugarClub to life each and every day, and the discussions and questions that you post here will become resources for users in the future. The Banking & Finance industry has some unique needs and who better to discuss them with than others in your industry who are facing the same questions. Share successes you have had or challenges your are facing. Give advice and seek it. Tag others in your posts. This group is here for you!

Forum: Discussions

Group: Banking & Finance
