If you go to the Search layout for Contracts, you should have an option for the 'assigned_user_name' field to add to the 'Default' column as shown here:

If you do not see that field in the Default or Hidden column of the module's search layout, I recommend opening a case with Sugar Support to investigate further as the field is in the layout in a standard installation.

Hi Björn,

I have an additional question regarding this matter. In our contracts module we have the field "Toegewezen aan" (Assigned to). It is visible in the list layout, but I cannot add it to the filter dropdown as it is not shown in the search list.

Is it possible to add extra fields (manually) to the search list?

adding / removing fields to the modules available fields for filtering can be done in Studio in every module under Layouts -> Search
