If anyone else is confused, like I was, on how a regular user would favorite a product catalog record, I finally figured it out. Only system admins can access the product catalog via the admin panel so a regular user couldn't do it via the list view/record view. For regular users, they have to use the Product Catalog dashlet or Product Catalog Quick Picks dashlet but it isn't very obvious how it is done.

To mark a product catalog record as a favorite via the product catalog dashlets, you have to click on the little record icon next to the item.

This opens a record drawer with the details about the item and includes the favorite star icon next to the product name that the user can click to mark it as a favorite.

Any news when the Spring release will be available? Many of our on-site customers will benefit from the winter release changes.
