I appreciate the new features but since fall 2017 inlines image in incoming emails are broken. Maybe fix the main bugs first (see bug 79925)

Note that if you have a large database the collation changes can take several hours.

I didn't see this in preview as I have very little data in my preview environment.

Once I tried it in Development with a full copy of production data it looked like my upgrade was stuck on:

"Applying the 'utf8mb4_general_ci' collation to the database and all existing tables"

It was taking as long as 5mins per table to update the collation, and with 433 tables (over 250GB) that adds up.

The log does not show progress during the collation update so it may feel like it's stuck. When in fact it's not.

After the collation there are still many index updates that again will take quite a while to complete.

So give yourself plenty of time for this upgrade.

When I do this in production I will need to schedule a full day of downtime.
